How This World Turns Cold And It Breaks Through My Soul.

Hey, Leaps.

We should change our blog title... I mean, neither of us go by Kori or Siobhan... We should call it "Speedy Leaps". I kinda like it. Just a thought though...

My title is from lyrics to Your Guardian Angel by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. It's a really pretty song. If you haven't heard it already, I think you should look it up.

As for yours, I haven't looked it up yet. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I just got home, and I really don't have time to look it up. Things have been a little sad, my best friend's step-dad died this morning. I'm going to go to her house later to hang out with her, make sure that she's okay.

What else happened today... I had an algebra quiz? I think i got one of the questions wrong... I realized as soon as I handed it in. Ever get that feeling? Yeah. It sucks. I cannot stand that feeling. And then I had lunch and took a quiz in Chem. It was stupid, and she only gave us like... two minutes to finish... I don't know if she'll give me full points for my second answer; it was a little rushed...

I have another Chem quiz tomorrow. Three in a row, baby. Jesus, my teacher has gone quiz-happy. But not happy for Siobhan. No, Speedy is pissed at her Chem teacher.

Explain this one to me; I'm five feet tall. (Don't judge.) There's this kid named Mike who's like six foot four, and he gets to sit in the front row, meanwhile shorty over here gets to sit in the back. What the hell!? I can't see! Lucky for me I'm going to get glasses over the weekend. Just reading ones, but glasses none the less.

In World Studies (I love that class) we talked about economics, communism, socialism and capitalism. I actually think it's very interesting. I'm going to do five quick facts about what I learned in that class, because I really love it.
1. Did you know that the government sells bonds, and once someone owns them, they can buy and sell them? It's like monopoly!
2. China owns 500 billion dollars worth of bonds. We is in debt.
3. China technically could ask for all of that money back, but it would increase inflation, so they won't do it.
4. Anyone can buy a bond. Except us... I think you have to be 18... Okay, anyone over 18 can buy bonds. Countries too.
5. Communism is both an economic system and a political system in which the government controls everything, but it's such an extreme that no country has ever actually attained perfect communism. Socialism is just an economic system, and it's basically the economic side of communism. But a lot of countries have small imputs of socialism in their government, like the fact that the government owns the fire department is socialist, and that's why people are afraid of Obama. Capitalism is the economic system that we have where the people own the means of production. Like, there's some guy, Mr. Delta, who's screwed because his airline is going out of business. Oh darn.

I just think it's really interesting. And my teacher talks about the stock market all the time. He's an economics teacher who happens to teach World Studies II.

English... We talked about literary devices. Good stuff.
French... Watched a movie. I like it.

That's like, all the classes I have.

You mentioned rules too... I think that we should have to post every other day. Like, I posted today (Thursday) and you have to post tomorrow (Friday) but on the weekends, we can post whenever we see that the other person has posted. I guess...

That's all, really. I have to go to my friend's house now. Oh, and your homework is to look up July Flame by Laura Veirs. Good song.

-Speedy.
